Time Capsule Has Been Opened!
Our
beautiful unrestored 1970 Ford Galaxie 500 with the original window sticker
and documentation. We bought it from the second owner, who like the original
owner, kept the Galaxie in a garage since new. This car had only 46,227 actual
miles on it since rolling off the assembly line at Ford and we have only added
a few hundred more! It has a strong 390 with a 4bbl Carb and Aluminum Intake
with dual exhausts, factory air, power steering, power brakes, original
untouched Sea Foam Green paint and vinyl top.
Our Galaxie has a Ford 9" rear end and the original Redline spare has
never touched the ground. It has beautiful aluminum rims and we still have
the original hub caps as well as the original jack. There is no body or frame
rust - zero and there never has been any rust. The interior is beautiful and
looks new. Our unrestored Galaxie, is not temperamental and we are able to
drive it anywhere.
If
you live in the southeast – please feel free to come by and take a look,
nice days only. Note: We have never driven it in the rain and were told that
the previous two owners also never drove it in the rain either! We have not
seen a nicer original unrestored Galaxie – and for a long time - we
didn't even drive it anywhere!
We
are always asked who restored the car and did the great paint job. We explain
that the Ford Factory did everything and for the original price! Some
of the factory options are bright exterior moldings, color-keyed nylon carpet,
courtesy lights, rocker panel moldings, select shift Cruise-O-Matic, power
front disc brakes, rear window defogger, remote outside mirror. The total
original price in 1970 was $4,384.25!
