You can easily install this free upgrade yourself using the USB Memory stick
that came with your Ultra system and the Firmware download. Be sure to follow
the instructions which are also available for download with the Firmware –

Important:
Before you do anything check what Firmware version you have on your Rotalign®
Ultra as the download will not do anything if you already have the current
Firmware!

All
Rotalign®
systems use patented Single Beam
Technology – only one cable or in the case of the Rotalign®
Ultra no cable! Let's take a close look at how the Rotalign® sensor (receiver)
works. Notice the two position detector targets (white cards with blue
photo cells). There is actually a third target used by the internal dual
inclinometers (angle generators). Now notice the optics - this sensor
is made by masters of laser optics - Prüftechnik AG who made the first
Optalign® in 1984 and make the Optalign® Plus and Optalign® smart
today! The "Opt" in Optalign® stands for Optics!
All Rotalign® systems use the two primary
targets in a patent protected design with only one cable and gets extremely
fast and accurate results measuring the alignment to the nearest 1/1000 mm
or .00004”. The sensor reads the laser's position on the two ultra-precise
targets and with the optics has a very long “run” which is used
in the “rise over run” calculations used in shaft alignment! If
you remember your dial indicator training or what you found in the field using
dial indicators - the longer the horizontal support rod (run) holding the
indicator from the one shaft to the other – the more accurate and fast
you could work! The Rotalign® system accomplishes this long “run”
with the Rotalign’s internal optics!

All or our Rotalign® Ultra and
Rotalign® Pro Rental systems measure 5 axes using 2 targets with
one only cable and patented Single Beam Technology. The Rotalign®
Ultra does this without any cable using Bluetooth!
A third target in all Rotalign® Receivers is part of the dual inclinometers.
The Continuous Sweep Technology lets you start anywhere, rotate in either direction
and stop.

using Continuous Sweep and then press the Coupling
key! Three keys - now that's simple and yet the Rotalign® system has the
horsepower to handle all of the tough alignments when you least expect to encounter

Alignment Printing Tool Zip File |
The
Printing Tool v 1.1 is a virtual printer program, for PC Computers equipped
with a serial port, that allows printing of reports generated by Prüftechnik
AG Alignment instruments that do not have a USB port. Using the tool, reports
can be printed to any Windows printer or networked printer without disconnecting
or reconfiguring the printer. This program is also available on all Prüftechnik
Alignment Explorer CDs and may be downloaded here.

Some
of our rental competitors use the word Sweep when describing how their rental
lasers take their readings but these other lasers do not really sweep! Other,
non Prüftechnik AG systems take only 3 measurements!
The basic 3 point measure mode has been around
over 60 years. Our rental systems, the
Rotalign® Ultra, Rotalign®
Pro,
Optalign® smart, Aligneo®,
Optalign® Plus and smartALIGN®
are the only systems with the patented Continuous Sweep
measure mode and we use 128 points!
If you use a laser that can take only 3 measurement
points and even one of the 3 is out of position
– your corrections are off! And, the alignment will take longer
to get it right!
Think
about it - taking 3 readings or 3
points compared to the 128 points that we take
continuously with the Patented Continuous Sweep measure
mode! If you were in an alignment war would you rather use a single
shot 3 round rifle or a Gatling gun? Did we say
Gatling gun - yes - our rentals take hundreds of readings and use 128
readings faster than other systems take 3! And,
on the Rotalign® series it takes the readings on two targets at the same
time! To be precise it takes 8 readings every .05 seconds (160/sec.) and average
that reading/point and continue to take hundreds of points in the Continuous
Sweep measure mode! The system fits these readings to a perfect curve
or orbit using 128 of the points in the final
calculation.
We
know that when you go hunting that you don’t just take 3
bullets and for sure you would not take only 3
bullets if you were going to war. So, why only take a single shot laser with
only a 3 round clip when you are going to do

Some
other rental systems even use Tolerances twice as large as the Ludeca World
Standard Tolerances which are built into our products at the Prüftechnik
AG factory! Some competitors rental systems do not have spacer shaft set up
/ Tolerances built into their programming, cannot print reports from their
system and no one has the display software that all of our systems have for
training use! Don't rent any Laser Alignment system without seeing our Rotalign®
Ultra, Optalign®
smart, Aligneo® or
Optalign® Plus!
